As many of our growers are finished with harvest, I know it is about that time when you begin calling the office asking for updates about your product. I want to remind everyone that the online grower portal through our website, ccaga.com, has almost everything you need to know and is accessible anytime you want it.
Pre-Season Meeting Scheduled for July 25TH
Each year the Association hosts a pre-season grower meeting to discuss the upcoming hulling and shelling season. This meeting is beneficial for our members as Management provides forecasts for the season ahead and to advise members on new improvements that will help with our overall processing efficiency.
Nomination Period Opens on April 1
The nomination period for the election of members to sit on the Association’s Board of Directors opens Monday, April 1 and closes Tuesday, April 30. This year two seats are up for election, Seat #4 held by Director Thomas Chandler and Seat #5 held by Director Jeff McKinney.
President’s Report
So ends one of the oddest and most trying years of the California Almond industry. In my eighteen years serving as your President and CEO I have never seen a year plagued from beginning to end with so many factors that coalesced into a conclusion of such a low yielding and poor-quality crop.

fore harvest. This meeting is beneficial for our

so please save the date. The meeting is scheduled
for Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 11:30 am at Par-
dini’s Banquet Hall in Fresno.

We need your help! Every year we send an
acreage survey that helps Management prepare for
the next hulling and shelling season
Shelling operations shutting down November 15.
No, we are not closing the co-operative. Due to several factors, our shelling operations will conclude 48 days earlier than the prior season.

Celeste Lopes joins the team as the Association’s Member Relations Coordinator. Celeste will serve as a liaison between members and the management team.
A Report on Recent Grower Meetings
The Association held four meetings in late March for the purpose of educating our members about a recent change in the way the Association assesses its hulling fee.
