Over the last 56 years, the growth of our grower owned co-operative and the Almond industry as a whole has been unprecedented. We are proud to support our grower members in the central San Joaquin Valley.
Our Sanger site is where the Association’s first huller was installed in 1963. This is when the almond industry began in the San Joaquin Valley. Currently, this location has a single sheller that came on line in 1985.
Kerman Plant #1 (of 3) was the first in-line sheller after the pre-cleaner that was ever constructed in the World. Prior to its inception almonds were hulled as inshell and then transported to another location to be shelled.
